These people are awful and disgusting. It took four months longer to finish that promised. We have been living without a garage door since December.
Every time I speak to someone about my home, no one seems to know what is actually going on. In the pre-dry wall walk through, large items such as the kitchen island being the incorrect size was wrong, which the project manager didn't even realize, I had to point it out to HIM. They are disorganized, unprofessional, and they are taking advantage of having the upper hand assuming we are boxed in with our earnest deposit. We finally told them we would use our own excavator and pay out of pocket. Basically any warranty you have with them is completely useless and they limit their liability in their contract by forcing you to go to arbitration and not a regular court hearing.

They are fun - personable and easy to talk to. They are serious - know how much their clients count on them and are very dependable and trustworthy. We bought the Colorado model in Woodbridge, VA in 2017 for over $650,000. Less than five years later, the plastic water hose connecting the toilet to the wall leaked and needed a plumber . The shower head leaked continuously causing constant pink mold to grow no matter how many times the shower stall was bleached. The shower tiles and walls had to be removed and replaced since the leak originated behind the wall in the pipe regulator , which was again the result of cheap parts.
The biggest complaint we have is the construction quality. On the outside it does look very good and expensive. However, living there for 3 years now , the quality is beginning to show. A different plumber comes out, removes a toilet, and finds construction debris, sheetrock layers, and construction rags in the plumbing pipes. The remediation company has to come back out and throw away more personal belongings and add more fans to the home. The apartments are very well kept with top of the line appliances.

If I walked away they would have instant equity and my life's savings. I would never walk away from my life's savings. They are mentally challenged if they can't figure that one out. But after reading all the posts on the shoddy workmanship and Chinese Drywall, I think the good lord was looking out after me. After I got the word I was disapproved, I started calling about my earnest money deposit. They wouldn't return my calls all of a sudden.

She is a senior citizen and I'm sure doesn't have that kind of money. Another owner ended up in the hospital because of the mold and bacteria in the water that we drink here. After her getting signatures from owners, the company was finally pushed into checking the water system, which indeed contained mold and bacteria. She claims to still have it in her water. We've had several gas leaks and were told that "that's normal." When I took the salesperson here to smell the fumes, she too had to cover her face from the fumes.
